But there’s nothing scary about this: instead of a noisy motorboat pulling your board, you’re skimming across the water via an electrically-driven cable. If you feel like mixing it up, there are ramps on the way to help you catch air and land a few tricks. However, be warned – your first wakeboarding experience could start a lifelong addiction.

Explore the joys of kayaking with the sun on your face and the breeze in your hair. A sense of tranquility is maintained at Ayla, thanks to its secure sea-water lagoon and ban on motorised watersports, meaning these glassy waters offer the perfect place for water babies to get back to nature in Jordan. Kayaks are hired at B12 Beach Club and come in singles and doubles. 

SUPping – aka Stand Up Paddleboarding is heaps of fun and is safe enough for the whole family. The only thing you need to master is balance – and that will come very easily. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you’ll find it a relaxing and gentle workout and a wonderful way to soak up the scenery.
